Outpatient Recovery Program, Baytown

The Right Step Baytown offers Ambulatory (Outpatient) Detoxification Treatment which is provided daily, seven days per week. Services provided include an assessment, medical history and physical examination, daily detox monitoring, medication management, vital signs, individual counseling, chemical dependency education groups, case management, and referral. Ambulatory Detox, 5 to 10 days in length, meets for a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 5 hours daily with the longest days being the day of admission and discharge. Each patient is assessed by the Nurse and the Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor to determine the eligibility of the patient. Following this, the Medical Director meets with the patient and completes a medical history and physical exam, determines medications and protocols needed, and authorizes the admission to ambulatory detoxification treatment. Each day the patient will be seen by the Nurse and the Counselor in order to assess their progress in the program and to determine further needs. The staff will work with you in a loving and caring manner so that you will be able to detox on an outpatient basis and continue with your daily responsibilities, such as employment and/or school.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), 8 weeks in length, meets three times weekly on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for three hours each time and is provided by a licensed chemical dependency counselor. Intensive Outpatient Treatment is perfect for people who may need further treatment following inpatient services or for those who need to continue working while they are in a treatment program. Patients still have time for work, school, and other life responsibilities while they are participating in the program. Our intensive outpatient program utilizes a 12-Step philosophy and other proven clinical treatment methods to help make positive changes in the participants' lives, to help insure addiction recovery success, and assist the patient in making positive life decisions. Activities include individual counseling, chemical dependency education groups, family education groups, family counseling, spirituality awareness, and relapse prevention education. With the help of our highly trained counselors and Lillie McCoy, LCDC, Director of Education, you will not feel alone or like "just another client".
