INDIVIDUAL THERAPY and COUNSELING
Individual Counseling Services are provided by a therapist (doctorate level, licensed professional counselor, licensed clincial
social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, psychologist , psychiatrist, or master level intern) and consists of a
minimum of 12 weekly sessions for one hour per individual that focuses on the reason(s) counseling was initially sought. All
clients establish a treatment and discharge plan with their therapist that identifies concerns to be addressed throughout the
individual counseling sessions.
Individual Therapy focuses on problems and/or concerns related to the client's mental health issues which can include:
- emotional distress
- bereavement
- depression
- anxiety
- parent-child relationships
- stress management
- coping skills
- co-occurring mental health issues that involve chemical dependency
- co-dependency
- anger management & domestic violence issues
- relationship problems (family, marriage, sibling, co-worker)
- financial problems
- trauma
- intimacy, and
- other life problem areas/issues.
