INDIVIDUAL THERAPY and COUNSELING

Individual Counseling Services are provided by a therapist (doctorate level, licensed professional counselor, licensed clincial

social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, psychologist , psychiatrist, or master level intern) and consists of a

minimum of 12 weekly sessions for one hour per individual that focuses on the reason(s) counseling was initially sought. All

clients establish a treatment and discharge plan with their therapist that identifies concerns to be addressed throughout the

individual counseling sessions.

Individual Therapy focuses on problems and/or concerns related to the client's mental health issues which can include:

  • emotional distress
  • bereavement
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • parent-child relationships
  • stress management
  • coping skills
  • co-occurring mental health issues that involve chemical dependency
  • co-dependency
  • anger management & domestic violence issues
  • relationship problems (family, marriage, sibling, co-worker)
  • financial problems
  • trauma
  • intimacy, and
  • other life problem areas/issues.
